How do GrillMeater probes charge?
All GrillMeater probes charge while docked in the bamboo charging unit. When you first get your GrillMeater device, open the battery compartment in the charger, then take out the tab between the battery and the charging contact so the probe(s) can start charging.
The batteries used in the wireless probe are certified to withstand temperatures that far exceed the temperature limits supported by the GrillMeater App.
We've done rigorous testing to make sure our product is not only food safe, but also that it poses no danger to the user when operated under any normal cooking condition.
